Produced in the gentle hills of Chilham, near Canterbury, Domaine Evremond is the realisation of a shared dream between lifelong friends Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and Patrick McGrath to craft exceptional English Sparkling Wine of the highest quality.
The NV Brut Classic Cuvée Edition I marks the debut English sparkling wine from Champagne Taittinger’s Kent-based estate, made from vines planted in 2017 on classic chalk and flint soils.
This inaugural cuvée blends 60% Pinot Noir with 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Pinot Meunier, based on the 2020 vintage with reserve wines from 2018 and 2019.
Fermented entirely in stainless steel with full malolactic conversion, it offers bright aromas of lemon zest, green apple and subtle pastry. The palate is defined by its fine, creamy mousse and crisp citrus character, balanced by a whisper of brioche and saline freshness. Clean-cut, precise and elegant, this is a highly promising first release that shows both finesse and potential.
