Rocky minerality upfront on the nose, followed by notes of thyme, and slight oak. Dark cherry, plum, and cassis round out the bouquet. Elevated acidity on the palate; dark cherry, cassis, plum present once more. Fruit quality is leaning towards stewed and dried, less ripe. The fruit has held up over time. A fantastic pairing with red meat, especially lamb or chuck roast!
