Janneau XO

Deep golden amber colour which reveals it’s long maturation, it distinguishes itself by its crystal transparency. Sensation of dry fruits and prunes on the nose with aromas of berries and cloves. Notes of violets and deep and long finish.

Round and full palate which creates a perfect harmony with a persistent finish which recalls the taste of Agen prunes. A considerable personality, the perfect level of maturity and a characteristic taste of “rancio” identify the XO Royal.

Janneau XO Royal is a blend (assemblage) of Armagnac aged for a minimum of 12 to 25 years. The white wines come from the best vineyards of the Appellation Controlée: Bas Armagnac and Tenarèze which are then distilled using mainly the single distillation method (80%) and double distillation (20%). The ‘eaux-de-vie’ are aged separately at the Janneau ancient cellars, mainly in Limousin oak casks, and then blended together before bottling .
