The nose is fragrant with a complex and structured aromatic profile and notes of dark fruit, black cherry, currant, cassis, and then chocolate, vanilla, and other sweet spices, and finally hints of tobacco. On the palate, it is powerful yet elegant with a delicious concentration of dark fruit, a full body, and firm yet ripe tannins. The finish is persistent and recalls nuances of cedar and herbs. Try it with spicy sausages or rib-eye steak.
