To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, Plantation have released an extra-special Barbados rum, packaged alongside a pair of celebratory glasses. The rum has been initially aged in the Caribbean in bourbon casks before undergoing a second maturation in the Charente in smaller French oak casks. Rich, tempting aromas of flambéed bananas, toasted coconut shavings, a touch of marshmallow lead to a palate that balances spice, toasty oak and a creamy, peppery note. Rich and complex, the finish is long and luxurious.
