Morlet Ma Douce Fort Ross Chardonnay 2019

Morlet Ma Douce Chardonnay 2019 is a full-bodied barrel-aged Chardonnay from Sonoma, California. This a Burgundian Chardonnay produced with fruit from Luc and Jodies` cool, high-altitude vineyard in Fort Ross-Seaview on the Sonoma Coast. Morlet Family Vineyards is run by husband-and-wife tea, Luc and Jodie Morlet. Champagne-born winemaker Luc Morlet has an extensive winemaking CV including numerous oenology degrees and work in Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux, as well as consulting with Michel Rolland at Newton Vineyards. The Ma Douce cuvée is dedicated to Luc`s wife, Jodie, and expresses ripe Chardonnay fruit along with the freshness and minerality of the Fort Ross-Seaview vineyard site. Winemaker`s note. “Full yellow colour. Aromas of lemon drop, Crème Brulée and orange zest intermixed with strong notes of minerality (wet stones) and fresh hazelnut. Full-bodied, mineral driven, this wine displays a creamy texture and very long mineral finish. Built to age gracefully for a decade, this wine is already very approachable.”
