Distilled at The Macallan in Speyside, this single malt is part of the distillery’s Sherry Oak range. The has spent 18 years maturing in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez to create this sweet and warming dram. Bottled at 43% abv, it boasts a stunning natural light mahogany colour. On the nose, there is spicy cinnamon and ginger, complemented by dried fruits. The palate is reminiscent of Christmas cake with flavours of clove, dried orange, and baking spices at the fore before leading into the long and spicy finish.
