Domaine Amirault Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil Les Quarterons is a single-vineyard Cabernet Franc red wine produced in the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgeuil appellation of the Loire Valley. Produced from biodynamically farmed fruit by sixth-generation winemaker Benoît Amirault, with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon adding flesh and backbone, it was fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and matured for 12 months on concrete tanks.
Deep purple with a glossy hew, this has a bouquet of black currant and soft warming baking spices. The palate has a moreish ripeness to it with powerful black fruits and an earthy nuttiness nutty on the finish. Refreshing and fine boned, this is a very well balanced wine.
