Gigondas is one of the Rhone’s most prestigious sites, and a neighbour of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Old vine Grenache and Syrah give character and delicacy to this racy, harmonious wine with well-integrated tannins. This is a first-rate red wine, rivalling not only other wines from this region but also many expensive Chateauneufs. Classic Provencal aromas of herbs, peppery notes, kirsch, and blackberries, with medium-bodied richness and a long, supple finish.
