Distilled in 2007, this single vintage Venezuelan rum from Diplomatico was initially matured for 12 years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and single malt whisky casks, before a final year finishing in oloroso sherry casks. Aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet vanilla, baking spices, toasted oak and creamy chocolate fill the nose, followed by notes of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, plums, raspberries and dried fruit throughout the palate.
