A classic Pauillac with attractive maturity and plenty of traditional Bordeaux character. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum mingle with cedar, tobacco leaf and hints of forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied and nicely rounded, with ripe fruit, savoury complexity and finely textured tannins. Fresh acidity keeps everything in balance, while subtle oak and a gently spicy finish add further appeal. A rewarding bottle for lovers of mature, understated claret.
