Calusari Pinot Noir 2017 (Ville Timisului, Romania) – Light, soft and welcoming nose of autumn fruits. Soft smooth & spicy flavours throughout with generous soft red fruit flavours.
Kaiken Reserve Malbec 2016 (Mendoza, Argentina) – Ripe fruit aromas of strawberries and cherries are nicely complemented with spicy notes and menthol aromas. On the palate, this wine displays extraordinary balance, freshness and soft tannins.
El Tesoro Monastrell Shiraz 2016 (Jumilla, Spain) – Ripe, appealing aromas of plums, blackberries, and cherry and a hint of milk chocolate. Rich and spicy on the palate with dark fruit, balancing acidity and soft tannins.
Diez Siglos Verdejo 2016 (Rueda, Spain) – Intense aromas of stone fruit, tangerine oil and citrus. A rounded and complex palate, with notes of grass, fennel and aniseed. Textural, though bright and pure with a long finish.
The Capeman Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (Darling, South Africa) – Aromas of tropical fruit such as watermelon, passion fruit and pineapple. These flavours follow through on the palate and are supported by a vibrant acidity that keeps the palate fresh.
Mont Rocher Viognier 2016 (Pays d’Oc, France) – A haunting honeysuckle and apricot aroma and rich, almost unctuous palate that is somehow still dry, tangy and refreshing.

Kaiken Ultra Malbec 2015 (Mendoza, Aregntina) – The nose is enticing and spicy with black fruit aromas. Soft tannins lead to a finish that is fresh, complex and long, with fruit notes and subtle undertones of rosemary, thyme, and dry flowers.
Pikes ‘Dogwalk’ Cabernet Merlot 2013 (Clare Valley, Australia) – Perfumed aromas of blackcurrant and dark cherry with a just a hint of violets. Subtle, cedary French oak is very much in the background, just as it should be.
Neropasso Originale 2015 (Veneto, Italy) – Intense ruby red turning to garnet with ageing. Bouquet is spicy with hints of cherry, black cherry and plum compote. fine and velvety palate, persistent, with soft tannins at the end.
La Battistina ‘Nuovo Quadro’ 2016 (Gavi del Commune di Gavi, Italy) – Aromatic, zesty nose with apple and lime notes. Textured and gently nutty with savoury characters. This wine is juicy, with weighty citrus fruit.
Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (Marlborough, New Zealand) – A complex and elegant wine with intense aromas of blackcurrant leaf, crushed lemongrass and thyme, mingled with passion fruit and melon highlights.
Chateau de la Tour Penet ‘Macon-Peronne’ 2015 (Macon-Villages, France) – Pale lemon in colour, flecked with green, this unoaked Chardonnay is delicately minerally with notes of melon and citrus. The palate is pure and clean, with a vibrant finish.
Connoisseur’s Mix: £94.99 for 6 bottles, or £189.98 for 12 bottles
Vina Urbina Seleccion 1999 (Rioja, Spain) – An intense, dark ruby colour with a very concentrated berry / vanilla nose and flavours. Full-bodied, rich fruit cake, vanilla, well-structured, mellow, with the fine elegance of the Urbina marque.
Cantina Valpantena ‘Torre del Falasco’ Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2014 (Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOCG, Italy) – A powerful, full-bodied palate opens with a spiced fruit character. Raisin and candied peel notes come from the ‘ripasso’ method and are layered with rounded, ripe cherry flavours. The finish is long with added spicy nutmeg notes.
Chateau La Gorce Medoc 2011 (Medoc AOC, France) – Spicy, cedar-scented black fruit. Rich, with well-balanced oak. A classic Claret!
Joseph Mellot Pouilly-Fume ‘Le Chant des Vignes’ 2016 (Pouilly-Fume AOC, France) – A complex nose of grapefruit and gunflint, with a fresh tropical fruit palate. This wine has exceptional length.
Terres Secretes Macon Verze ‘Croix-Jarrier’ 2015 (Macon-Villages AOC, France) – Creamy nose with flavours of sugar cane, sweet peach fruit, yoghurt and spice. Decanter Magazine 2017 World Wine Awards – 95 Points
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (Marlborough, New Zealand) – Deliciously aromatic and highly perfumed – exuding ripe nectarine, pink grapefruit and lemon zest with a lifted floral fragrance reminiscent of jasmine and elderflower. Classic ripe Marlborough Sauvignon – with melon and gooseberry flavours and a touch of passionfruit, wound into a generous, mouth-filling palate that finishes dry and crisp.
