Save on our bestselling gin – This month only!

You may well not need us to tell you how good Silent Pool Gin is if you’ve visited us over the past couple of years. Since arriving on our shelves it quickly became our bestselling gin, winning a loyal fanbase with its winning combination of local craft, beautiful presentation and, above all, superb quality.

But you might note that, for this month only, we’re able to offer a £5 saving on this much-loved favourite, in store or online!

Buy a bottle now for £32.99 (was £37.99)

You can also save £5 on a beautiful gift set, which also includes two copa glasses, presented in a smart box.

Buy a gift set for £54.99 (was £59.99)

These savings are only available until the end of May!

A modern classic…
Distilled just a few miles from us in Albury, Silent Pool draws on a palette of 24 different botanicals. Delicate lavender and chamomile combine with velvety local honey and fresh spring water from the Silent Pool itself to fashion a gin that’s classic in style but with a modern, moreish character all its own. And with its eyecatching bottle, it also happens to look as good as it tastes!

To ensure you’re the host with the most – or guest with the best – we recommend serving it with a generous scoop of ice, a little (but not too much) tonic and an orange-peel garnish.

We hope you’ll take advantage of this special offer and that it will add a delicious garnish to your summer parties, barbecues and (we hope) a few lazy days in the garden too.

Best wishes,

Jon & Paul

Gin Tasting Evening! – Friday, 16th November at 7pm

After the success of our last Gin Tasting Evening we have asked our good friend Toby Lane to join us once again for what promises to be another great event.

Over the last couple of months our Gin range has continued to expand and we’re looking forward to tasting six new Gins at this tasting. As always Toby will be on hand to impart his extensive knowledge of the world of Gin, whilst we will be offering up a variety of interesting serving suggestions with each Gin.

The evening will start at 7pm and run for approximately two hours. Due to the nature of this tasting we will not be serving any food.

Tickets are priced at £20 per person, with limited availability.

To book tickets please drop into the shop, or call us on 01737 350 168.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Free Supplier Tasting! This Saturday, 10th November, 12pm-4pm

This coming Saturday we are extremely pleased to have one of our favourite suppliers take over our tasting table!

James Wilson represents a fantastic portfolio of wines from around the world, six of which we have chosen for you to taste this weekend.

For the white wines James will be opening the Chateau de la Tour Penet, Macon-Perrone, a lovely single village Burgundy Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage, as well as the always excellent Joseph Mellot Sancerre ‘La Graveliere’ – a wine that needs no introduction!

For the red wine lovers James will have four fantastic wines to suit everyone’s taste. From Errazuriz in Chile we will have the Aconcagua Costa Pinot Noir 2016. Made by one of Chile’s finest Pinot Noir producers this wine has scored 93/94 points from two of the wine world’s top critics. This is a classy wine that offers outstanding value.

Next up for reds we will have Laure Colombo’s fantastic Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2016. Coming from a much celebrated wine-making family Laure produces wines with a feminine elegance and made with food in mind.

For the third red wine on taste we will travel a little further south in Europe to the legendary Rioja region of Spain. The Contino Reserva Rioja 2012 is a very impressive wine indeed. Top wine writer James Suckling awarded this wine 94 points and we would agree with that this is a truly great Rioja red.

The last red to taste this weekend comes from the Robert Oatley wine-making dynasty. The Finisterre Syrah 2013 hails from the Great Southern region of Western Australia and has won a host of awards over the last year, including a place in the Wine Merchant Top 50 Australian Wines 2018.

With such a superb range of wines on taste, and the chance to talk to the man who knows these wines in fine detail, we look forward to seeing you this Saturday afternoon.

All the best,

Paul & Jonathan
