Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita 2017

The Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita is a stunning Malbec that perfectly demonstrates the energy and complexity that Sebastián Zuccardi achieves in his wines. The name ‘Infinita’ not only honours the ‘infinite’ quantity of stones present in the vineyard and the number of stones which had to be removed for the winery to be built, but is also a tribute to the famous poem ‘Piedra Infinita’ written by Enrique Ramponi who was born in Mendoza. Perfectly selected Malbec grapes were fermented in concrete; 30% of the wine was then aged in 500 litre oak barrels with the remainder in concrete at the beautiful Zuccardi winery. Nuanced red fruits, mineral notes of wet stone and graphite and a very long finish. Quite simply this is one of the most outstanding Malbecs Argentina has ever produced. Definitely an age-worthy wine.
